NUC Officer's Meeting
As of our second officers meeting we have discussed the direction of the club and set in motion planning for the events of the semester. We will be having weekly officer's meetings on Tuesday nights from 7:30 to 8:30 pm. However, this week the general meeting constitutes as the officer's meeting.
General Meeting
This Friday, March 25 we will be having a general meeting to introduce the club, its officers and the events to come. There will be refreshments, a short speaker and a time to get to know each other.The meeting will begin at 8:00 pm. We are looking forward to seeing you there! THE LOCATION WILL BE EMAILED AS SOON AS WE HAVE A CONFIRMATION.
NUC Social
This Sunday, March 27 Pastor Rocky will be opening up his home for a BBQ at 4:30 pm. We will be handing out maps and contact information at the general meeting on Friday to his home at 520 Spicer Road in Lynchburg.
T-Shirts
We have put together a design for club t-shirts which will create awareness for the club. Our theme verse is Matthew 28:19, "Therefore go and make disciples of all nations." Our club motto will be "Bridging the Gap Between Nations" as we see to unify the campus for Christ. We will let you know the ordering information during the general meeting this week as well.
Soccer Tournament
The tournament was set to be on April 15th and 16th, however, reserving the fields is proving difficult but we are working on it. We will be announcing opportunities to be involved in the planning, set up and the event itself as it approaches. We will host the tournament in the Thomas Indoor Soccer Center if allowed and will be accepting teams from the general Lynchburg area. This will serve as a fundraiser and outreach event for the club.
